Head Over Heels is best suited for babies, toddlers, and children up to primary-school age, with different play areas designed for each stage. Children using the play equipment must be under 1.55m in height.
Younger children (0–3 years) have a dedicated soft play, sensory and role play area designed for safe early exploration. Older children (4+ years) can enjoy larger soft play, active, and interactive areas designed for more independent play.
There are also shared family spaces suitable for mixed-age visits, and adults can relax in comfortable seating areas with Wi-Fi and quality food while supervising their children.
You can choose a session length that suits your visit, between 1½, 2 and 2½ hours, and this includes all your time in the building, including play and eating in the café.
If you’re planning to eat with us, we recommend choosing a longer 2.5 hour session for a more relaxed experience, and we also offer a Meal & Play Deal ticket option.
If you’d like to extend your stay, a Stay Longer option is available and is calculated and payable on exit; however, it may not be available when we are very busy or fully booked — please ask at reception when you arrive.
On school days only, session time is unlimited, so you’re welcome to stay and play all day for your admission charge.

Yes — we have a family-friendly café that’s well known for its quality food, and many families choose to make it part of their visit.
We’re proud to source ingredients locally from trusted suppliers, including W.H. Frost Butchers, and our fair-trade teas and coffees come from Worker Bee MCR, who donate a portion of their sales to local charities supporting the community. We also work with Belu Water, a carbon-neutral social enterprise that gives 100% of its profits to WaterAid.
Our menus include a wide range of vegetarian, vegan, and halal options, and we offer gluten-free and dairy-free alternatives where possible. We’re always happy to help with special dietary requirements — just speak to the café team.
The only outside food we allow is baby food. We have a microwave available and can warm bottles in hot water — please ask at the café counter for assistance.
To keep the centre safe and enjoyable for everyone, picnics are not permitted, and only food and drink purchased at Head Over Heels may be consumed on the premises.
